RR 60 Audio Modulation

This section is about Audio Modulation. One example of this is Amplitude Modulation (AM). When you modulate the volume of audio with a LFO you get a vibrato effect. If you raise the frequency of the LFO up into the audio range you don't get a vibrato effect. The modulation of the audio is now so fast you can't hear the separate volume changes, but instead hear Amplitude Modulation. The audio will now contain new frequencies: both frequencies of the sum of the original frequencies and the frequency of the modulator and frequencies of the difference of these frequencies. You can find this effect in Reason on the Malström as the AM filter.
