Oddities

In Reason some devices and routings cause latency, that is: it takes a small amount of time for the audio to pass through. On my system this latency depends purely on the sample rate, not on the latency of the soundcard.

The Aux Send routing on the mixers have a latency of 1.4ms at 44.1 kHz and 0.7ms at 96 kHz

The BV512 has a couple of peculiarities. If you want to use it as a graphic equalizer there are a couple of tings you may want to know. When the BV512 is set to FFT(512) there is a latency of 22ms at 44.1 kHz and 10ms at 96 kHz. When set to 4 to 32 bands there's no latency. But then the BV512 distorts the transients and phase of the sound. This even happens when all the graphic sliders are set to default. This distortion is of course of little meaning when using the BV512 as a vocoder.

The Scream4 causes the polarity of the audio to be inverted when set to Tape or Tube. So it's best not to use these as send effect for the resulting sound will be very thin.

I like to use the Mod Env on Subtractor to control the pitch of Osc2. Sub_Bass.cmb is a simple enjoyable patch that uses this. But since the Mod Amount (ma) knob is scaled in midi values it difficult to get it right. To the right you can read a table: the left column reads the midi value, the middle column the rise in pitch in semitones and the right column the corresponding note relative to C.
